Yumemai Bridge — A Grand Bridge Connecting Yumeshima and Maishima, Walkable for Everyone
2025/05/11
Yumemai Bridge connects Yumeshima and Maishima — two man-made islands in Osaka’s Konohana Ward.
This 876.6-meter-long Rōse Bridge (through arch bridge) features a graceful arch silhouette that blends beautifully with the scenery of Osaka Bay.
What makes it truly unique is its movable design: in an emergency, or when large ships need to pass through Osaka Port’s main channel, the bridge can rotate to open the waterway — an impressive feat of engineering.
A well-maintained pedestrian walkway allows visitors to cross on foot while enjoying panoramic views along the way.
From Yumeshima, it’s about a 30-minute walk to Arena Maishima, one of the area’s popular venues for sports and events.
As Yumeshima will host Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Yumemai Bridge will play an essential role in connecting these vibrant islands for both residents and visitors alike.
